VERSION OF BIO:
Ron
Eslinger’s career in hypnosis started at age 17 when,
inspired by the book,"Search for Bridy Murphy"
he chose to use hypnosis as his Senior Science project. He
hypnotized his 14-year
old sister and was hooked on hypnosis. After his Nurse Anesthesia
training he took a course on hypnosis and it has been a foundation
of his anesthesia practice ever since.
After
serving 36 years in the military and retiring as a Navy Captain
he chose to follow his passion for helping people with hypnotherapy
and opened Healthy Visions Wellness Center where he sees clients,
conducts clinical research and teaches Certification Courses
in the use of clinical hypnosis.
Ron
lectures extensively to medical and nursing organizations
on Hypnosis, Stress Management, Anesthesia, HIV/AIDS, and
Bioterrorism throughout the United States. He was invited
by Great Britain’s National Council for Hypnotherapy
to deliver the Keynot e
Address at their annual meeting in June of 2006. He conducts
seminars and workshops on a variety of hypnosis related subjects
ranging from Hypnosis Certification to HypnoBirthing®
and Hypnoanesthesia at his Healthy Visions Wellness Center
educational facility as well as corporate and convention centers
around the country.
Ron
is the recipient of many awards including Instructor of the
Month, Researcher of the Year and the prestigious NGH Presenter
of the Year Ormond McGill Chair. He was also nominated by
the US Navy to represent the Department of Defense on the
National Institutes of Health’s committee on Complementary
and Alternative Medicine.
Ron lives in Clinton, Tennessee just outside of Knoxville,
with his lovely wife Karen and enjoys eating popcorn, hiking,
boating on Norris Lake, listening to motivational CDs, and
watching NCSI and Survivor when he’s not playing with
his grandsons, Drake and Shade.
